Stackables

This project was an experiment to create a multi-use mould system which would build a series of ever-changing sculptural forms based on plastic household reusable/disposable containers. The process allowed me to not only to build the mould system but also to look at how ceramics function in a sculptural medium: how material is viewed – in this case, plastic versus ceramic – how surface affects perception and elevates the quality of viewing, and, how opening an object to include the interior as a part of the form reveals an architectural element to the object.
