Artist Statement

Creating spaces for narratives that haven’t been told before is of interest to me. I am drawn to a variety of genres, but comedy holds a soft spot in my heart. Showcasing the lived experience of people and disarming them through laughter is my constant goal. Making connections to my roots and to new cultures has been an interesting journey. My Indian-born, Middle-Eastern raised roots have given me a plethora of experiences to share and learn from. They all tie together meaningfully in my creative practice.
