Luces (City Lights)

Josue Gonzalez is a multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was introduced to the art form of graffiti writing while growing up in the U.S. and discovered his love for color and mark making. Since then, he has constantly developed his art practice, studying in the realms of Fine Art, Illustration, and Design.

Josue’s work explores many art styles and mediums. He has exhibited artwork and is included in private collections in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and El Salvador.

Josue Gonzalez also works as a commercial artist with formal education in illustration and communication design, applying his art style in many forms including painting, logo design, tattoos, murals, type design, sign painting, analog illustration, and digital illustration. He has made work for several Canadian and American fashion brands and has had work featured in both film and television.

He recently completed a BFA at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, Canada.
