Fountain of Youth
This project centres around the topic of ageism and points out flaws in beauty and wellness industries and societal values at large. Fountain of Youth explores subtle ways of conveying its message. Reference to mid-century design conveys ideas of fitting into a very specific mould of a perfect human and enhances sentiments of a smiling modern consumer. Colours are fitting to this era, and adds a subtle discomfort to the product due to them being purposefully unnatural. Text on the packaging pokes fun at wellness and anti-aging culture.
