Calypsopunk is a combination of my interest in the Cyberpunk genre and my own background/identy. My father is from Trinidad and Tobago where Carnival is celebrated.

Carnival is an annual event held Monday and Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. This event is well known for participants’ colourful costumes and exuberant celebrations.

The outfits are inspired by Mas Bands or Masquerader Bands are groups that attend Carnival and provide your costume as well as food and drinks during the festival. Each band has its own theme and colours for the Carnival. Anybody can join a band but you must decide which band that you wish to join.
